Morgan DeBaun is a serial entrepreneur, executive and corporate advisor. As the Founder & CEO of Blavity Inc., the leading digital media company for Black culture and millennials, Morgan has grown the company into a market leader for Black media, reaching over 100 million readers per month through a growing brand portfolio which
includes: Blavity News, 21NinetyAfroTechTravel Noire, Shadow & Act, and Blavity TV.

DeBaun acts as an advisor to influential global brands and companies including Pepsi Co., American Airlines, CES, and other businesses. She is also an angel investor in Golde, Ness, Boxed Up and Public.

DeBaun is a recipient of ADCOLOR's Innovative Award, has been recognized by Forbes in the 30 Under 30 and America's Top 50 Women in Tech lists, and was named as one of the 100 Most Influential African Americans by The Root.

Born and raised in St. Louis, she graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and minors in Entrepreneurship and Education. She resides in Nashville, TN.

Blavity Inc was founded by Morgan DeBaun and 3 college friends, Aaron Samuels, Jonathan Jackson and Jeff Nelson in 2014. Each with their own skill set, they shared a collective mission to build a media empire and company for this generation of Black Americans.

    Blavity.org is a non-profit created to drive Black economic advancement forward through entrepreneurial fellowship programs featuring grants, education & mentorship. Blavity.org was founded by two of my Blavity Inc. co-founders and myself. I currently serve on the Board of Directors.

  • Worksmart & CEO Spring Break

    WorkSmart Advisor is a global community designed to unite, encourage and equip black entrepreneurs and small business owners. WorkSmart’s programming includes a podcast, free resources and a private professional network for rising entrepreneurs.
